Our mission at BDUSA in Pennsylvania is to help people meet their most basic needs and advocate for social change by accessing services that are available to them. We aim to promote positive community values, health facility systems, and traditions that provide the foundation for the work of our community in Southwestern Pennsylvania. To this end, our work will focus on empowering individuals and families to help them meet their needs, address their issues, eliminate oppression and referrals and build a just and compassionate society.

Dignity

We will respect and honor the dignity of every individual. We believe that all humans are created in the image of God and so have an inherited dignity, regardless of their life circumstances.  As such, we commit to respecting and honoring this dignity in each interaction.

BDUSA in Pennsylvania will strive to provide high-quality, effective, and efficient basic social services to assist Burundian immigrants. We will be the premier community association of choice for clients, donors, employees, and volunteers. We will be the beacon of hope for those in need.
